Turning Old Crayons into New Ones

If you are left with small pieces of colored wax crayons that your kids no longer use, do not throw them away. There is an easy and inexpensive way to turn them into new crayons for your kids to re-use:

  1. Sort the crayons out according to colors; same colors go together, even if the shades are somewhat different.
  2. Melt into each color over low heat in a deep spoon or pan.
  3. Fill the liquid wax in any mold and allow it to cool.
  4. Congratulations! You have turned the leftover pieces of crayons into long ones, perfect for use.
